Philosophy

No pretense between us.

I’m the wine guy to a select group of wine lovers, collectors, and investors — people I like, or friends of people I like. There’s a strict no-jerks policy. I keep the group intentionally small so I can be thoughtful and strategic about what I bring you, instead of moving whatever’s easiest to sell.

The arrangement

I’m only pretentious behind the scenes, on your behalf, to get what others can’t.

That’s the whole arrangement. Between us, there’s no performance — no tasting-note theater, no gatekeeping, no making you feel like you should already know something you don’t. I save every bit of that posturing for the other side of the table, where it’s actually useful.

After twenty-plus years in the wine trade, I know the tricks and I know the people — at the winemaker level, the importer level, and the distributor level. That’s not a tagline; it’s the entire business model. I get bottles no one else can get, usually for a fraction of what you’d pay elsewhere, assuming you could even find them.

The group stays small

No jerks allowed.

By introduction. Kept intentionally small.
